Rolling the perfect blunt

Blunts are essentially had rolled cigars that are filled with various herbs and plants.  Often, some shredded tobacco is also included in the mixture.  Rolling a blunt is a lot like rolling a cigar, although some would say that the process is even simpler.  Here are some tips to help you roll a blunt and enjoy a really good high.

Preparing the ingredients for the blunt is your first step.  Tobacco can help keep the mixture somewhat cohesive, but you also want to pay close attention to how you prepare the herbs or plants that you include.  Generally, dried ingredients work best, and are easier to work with.  Grind the ingredients, but make sure the result is not too fine; if it is, there is a good chance you’ll end up with a mouthful of tiny pieces every time you inhale.

You can use any type of cigar wrapper for your blunt, but the best option would probably be a tobacco leaf.  The flavour of the leaf will help to enhance the flavour and aroma of all the herbs you include in the filler, while still being strong enough to keep the blunt together while you smoke.

One final thing to keep in mind is that there is no need to pack the filler as tightly as you can.  You do want plenty of filler, so you can enjoy a really good smoke.  But if you pack the ingredients too tightly, it could hurt the overall effect.  You want the blunt to be firm, but not hard.

It may take a few tries to get the hang of preparing the filler, packing the wrapper, and getting just the right feel to the blunt.  Don’t get frustrated, since you can easily just smoke any of those first experiments, then move on to the next try.  Before long, rolling a blunt will become second nature, and you’ll find that it is easy to roll several without thinking about the process at all.

Blunts

PipeDreamer | Blunts | Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Blunts are often favoured by connoisseurs of the smoking world, they are essentially the cigar alternative for those who like to construct their own. Of course someone can roll one for you, but the point is that you can select your own blend.

The shape of the blunt is how it acquired its name, blunts are generally rolled with a broad tipped end as opposed to the tapered, pointed tips of other cigars. Originally, blunts were rolled using a single continuous tobacco leaf (which gave them their distinct shape) but more modern varieties available today are generally tobacco pulp formed into a thickish, paper like wrap. These popular modern versions are usually imbued with an accompanying flavour, although natural unenhanced versions are still available.

The flavours that accompany the blunt and mingle best with the act of smoking seem to be fruit, berry and sweet flavours. Cigars and brandy go together famously well, so it is no surprise that alcoholic beverage and cocktail flavours are also found to be complimentary. Blunts have been smoked in one form or another for 200 years, and with the creation of new protective packaging and regular invention of new flavours and manufacturing techniques they will certainly follow the connoisseurs of the smoking world into the future.”

Different Tools for Recreational Highs

worldofweed | Blunts,Bongs,Herbal Highs,Legal Highs,Smoking | Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Bongs are tools used to smoke tobacco, alternatives to tobacco, and other herbs; they function by allowing the smoke of those leaves to cool down by passing through water (or any other liquid) before it is inhaled. As such, there are many who believe that the use of bongs is not quite as dangerous to one’s health as roll-ups like cigars and cigarettes, and pipes. The fact that the bong has become the popular means of enjoying smoking has spawned a number of bong varieties, which may be bought in stores or (if one is so inclined) made at home.

Among the bongs that are being sold commercially, acrylic bongs are popular, mainly because they are affordable, easy to clean, difficult to break, and (in general) more interesting to look at. When compared to other popular commercial bongs such as glass bongs, acrylic bongs are said to be more economical despite the fact that glass bongs “give better pulls”.

Favoured among the homemade bongs is the bottle bong, which is crafted from a bottle, a 12-centimetre hose, and any metal cone-shaped attachment or sculpted aluminium foil. The size of the bottle can vary, but normally a one-litre bottle is used for this makeshift bong.

Despite the popularity of this tool for recreational highs, there are still many who believe that blunts (cigar papers in which smoking material is rolled) are a better means of truly enjoying cannabis. Blunts, bongs, and other makeshift tools are essential to the enjoyment of recreational highs.

Of Blunts and Bongs

If any items are indispensable to smoking, blunts and bongs are definitely two of them.

The bong is the smoking device of choice for many. It is particularly known for its supposedly safer qualities when compared to other means of smoking. The use of water contributes much to this notion as the water presumably catches some of the more harmful substances before they are taken into the body. Burning is also reduced, effectively preserving the smoker’s mouth and lungs.

Bongs come in different designs, sizes, colours, and materials. Bongs are constructed of glass, plastic, wood, and rubber; the smoker chooses what he feels is most suitable to his taste and lifestyle.

On the other hand, blunts are specially manufactured rolling papers and usually combine tobacco leaves and ordinary paper and are special in that they have some flavouring added to them, allowing the smoker to have a more pleasant and tastier smoking experience. A little variation in the process will certainly be welcome for most smokers.

The aroma given off by the tobacco will have a twist to it because blunts have a variety of flavours to enhance the smell, which can effectively conceal the natural smell of the tobacco. Thus, blunts can allow smokers worry-free smoking; they only need to focus on enjoying their smoke and its improved flavours.

Surely, blunts and bongs are necessities for any smoker. Without them, smoking is a much less enjoyable experience. In the hazy world of the smoker, blunts and bongs are truly indispensable.
