Blue and White Lotus Flowers
The Blue Lotus Flower, or Nymphaea Caerulea, is one of those entheogens, or psychedelic plants that produce mind-altering effects. The Blue Lotus Flower produces narcotic and euphoric effects similar to those induced by codeine or cannabis. The Blue Lotus Flower is also said to improve sexual arousal like the effects of Viagra. You should also keep in mind that, at higher doses, the Blue Lotus Flower can be slightly hallucinating. Other effects are feelings of relaxation, contentment, and euphoria accompanied by tranquillity. It also increases your alertness and mental awareness, finally resulting in a sedative effect.
Blue Lotus Flowers are usually soaked in wine for several hours before both the wine and the flowers are consumed. The flowers can also be smoked by themselves or with other herbs to produce pleasurable effects. Blue Lotus Flowers can also be prepared as tea. The tea is said to produce a thick, yellowish liquid that produces a feeling of warm euphoria upon consumption. You may also drink and smoke Blue Lotus Flowers at the same time, as smoking and drinking synergize very well.
On the other hand, White Lotus, or Nymphaea Alba, is similar to the Blue Lotus in that both of them contain a similar alkaloid component. Thus, their effects are believed to be very much the same – narcotic and euphoric, just like cannabis. White lotus is just the common and well-known water lily. White Lotus, just like its blue counterpart, is also said to improve sexual arousal.
White lotus can be mixed with other herbs like Damiana or Blue Lotus when preparing the smoking mix. You may also want to take it with tea or alcohol, but at higher doses it can turn wine very bitter.
